Insolvency & Restructuring
The month of June has been a very active period for the Insolvency and Restructuring Department, the highlights included the successful completion of the High Court approved Examinerships for;
- O’Keeffes of Kilkenny Limited
- Petmania Limited
- Meubles Limited
The confirmation hearings for the companies were presided over by Justice Clarke and there was universal support for the Scheme of Arrangement put forward by David Walsh as Official Examiner.
Other insolvency assignments included the confirmation by the Supreme Court of the appointment of David Walsh as Official Liquidator of the Carlow based company As Fresh As It Gets Limited. This business has been advertised for sale in The Sunday Business Post following the appointment.
Activity in the Corporate Restructuring has been very strong in the first six months of 2011. In addition to many private restructurings of clients with in our existing client base which remain confidential, the firm was pleased to be involved in the successful re establishment of a nationwide engineering business which was acquired out of Receivership.
