| Accomplishments
Alan has resolved many complex Revenue audits for clients and has won a number of tax cases with the Appeals Commissioners involving complex tax matters. Alan has also been instrumental in bringing innovative tax and commercial solutions to resolve complex commercial transactions/disputes. Alan has made a number of white paper submissions to the Department of Finance in relation to tax policy matters. He is also a regular contributor on KCLR for taxation and economic matters. |

Alan likes travelling, enjoys gardening and plays golf to a handicap of around 12. He is also Chairperson of the Board of Management for his local school. |

Brief info
Alan is a tax partner in the firm since May 2006 having joined O’Neill Foley in December 1999. Alan previously worked as a tax manager with KPMG Dublin. Alan specialises in providing tax advice for family transfers and inheritances, disposals and acquisitions of property and businesses, dealing with Revenue audits and resolving complex taxation matters for clients. He has also been involved in negotiating and project managing disposals and acquisitions of businesses for clients along with identifying and procuring prospective purchasers.
